Good Heavens Comedy Club – feat. Aiko Tanaka¥1500
Introducing our headliner, Aiko Tanaka (LA)
Aiko Tanaka is a Japanese/Korean comedian, born in Tokyo but now living and working in LA. We’re so lucky to have her headlining the show this week! Check out her stand-up on line! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ShztZY5oWA
Aiko has also appeared in many music videos for Destiny’s Child, Afroman, Far*East Movement, Jin, and more. Her film and television credits include: “The Howard Stern Show,” “Late Night with Jay Leno,” “Malcolm and Eddie,” “My Wife and Kids,” “Numb3rs,” and The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift. You can see her in the upcoming indie film, Finishing the Game.
When she’s not on a film/TV set or at a photo shoot, Aiko enjoys cooking, taking care of her mother, and reading books.
What is it?
Our flagship Tokyo comedy show, all in English every Wednesday; featuring some of the best of Tokyo’s comedy talent as well as up-and-coming stars. We’re here to make you laugh with a skewed look at life in Japan, and an international perspective seen from the eyes of comedians hailing from every corner of the world. When you go to watch a Stand Up Tokyo comedy show, you get all this and more!
Where is this Tokyo comedy paradise?
The show is held at Good Heavens bar – known for their thirst quenching fine drinks, excellent British food (believe me, it is possible!) and plenty of tables from which to enjoy a night of English-language comedy. Not only that, but of course the best Tokyo comedy, all in the surroundings of the uber-hip Shimokitazawa area.
How do I get there?
Just jump on either the Inokashira Line from Shibuya or the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku, either way, it’s just a 5-7 minute ride. Make sure to get the express if you can, the fastest way to get to Tokyo comedy!
Who could I see?
Great acts such as Hannibal Burress, Eric Andre, Yuriko Kotani, Phil Nichol, Matt Okine, Phil Wang and Steve Bugeja have popped up on this stage so you never know who you will see! But laughter is guaranteed with our amazing Tokyo comedy shows.
How much is it?
1500 yen incl free house drink for 8 or more comedians. It’s a real bargain! Also, make sure you try the tasty pub food from the Good Heaven’s staff! We have lovely fish and chips to enjoy while you’re watching the rising stars of Tokyo comedy. We are proud to say the event is no-smoking, but you can smoke outside the venue during the break in the middle.
