What’s Going on?

Changed the theme of this event because it seemed weird and non-inclusive to talk about Boris Johnson]

We’ve got a guest headliner!) It’s Reece Boyall all the way from Australia. Here’s a little about him from his Sydney Fringe show, “Unexpected Times of Learning”

“3 years ago Reece Boyall from the Blue mountains broke into the Sydney comedy scene. The culmination of many soaring successes and catastrophic failures will come to a head in a show that’s an energetic combination of thoughts, tales, and escapades. Through brilliantly crafted and weaved stories, his comedic stage presence that ranges from the melodic to the spoken word to the choreographed flailing of himself Reece will take you on a hilariously tragic journey which is his last day at University.

With sharp observations from his own experiences with creepy dudes, university, friendships, living out of home, roommates and drugs; Reece has created a highly relatable hour long performance which has a story for everyone and where everyone will have their story. Having performed alongside such acts as Rhys Nicolson, Becky Lucas, Sam Simmons and Cam Knight come bring your friends and loved ones and be a part of this ridiculous show one last time.”

we have GUEST HOST Fergal Daly from Ireland.

What is it?

Our flagship Tokyo comedy show, all in English every Wednesday; featuring some of the best of Tokyo’s comedy talent as well as up-and-coming stars. We’re here to make you laugh with a skewed look at life in Japan, and an international perspective seen from the eyes of comedians hailing from every corner of the world. Obviously, when you go to watch a Stand Up Tokyo comedy show, you get all this and more!

Where is this Tokyo comedy paradise?

The show is held at Good Heavens bar  – known for their thirst quenching fine  drinks, excellent British food (believe me, it is possible!) and plenty of tables from which to enjoy a night of English-language comedy. Not only that, but of course the best Tokyo comedy, all in the surroundings of the uber-hip Shimokitazawa area.

How do I get there?

Just jump on either the Inokashira Line from Shibuya or the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku, either way, it’s just a 5-7 minute ride. Make sure to get the express if you can, the fastest way to get to Tokyo comedy!

Who could I see?

Great acts such as Hannibal Burress, Eric Andre, Yuriko Kotani, Phil Nichol, Matt Okine, Phil Wang and Steve Bugeja have popped up on this stage so you never know who you will see! But laughter is guaranteed with our amazing Tokyo comedy shows.

How much is it?

1500 yen incl free house drink for an international headliner and local support. So, it’s a real bargain! Also, make sure you try the tasty pub food from the Good Heaven’s staff! We have lovely fish and chips to enjoy while you’re watching the rising stars of Tokyo comedy. We are proud to say the event is no-smoking, but you can smoke outside the venue during the break in the middle.
